OfflineVault

Privacy

What leaves your Mac, and what never does.

The short version: nothing you read, ask or download leaves your Mac. We keep what an order needs and no more.

Last updated 21 October 2026.

What the app sends

The app connects to our servers for three things and nothing else:

It sends no telemetry. What you read, what you ask the assistant, what you search for and what you download stay on your Mac. The assistant runs on your Mac, so no question goes to any server.

What we store when you buy

Payment is handled by Stripe. Card numbers go to Stripe and never to us. Stripe's own privacy policy covers what Stripe keeps. We see the email, the amount, the plan and the Stripe identifiers of the order.

If you join the waitlist, we store the email you enter and the plan you picked, and use them only for the message the form describes.

Hosting

The site, the content service and the licence service run on Cloudflare. Cloudflare keeps standard request logs (IP address, time, what was requested) for a short period as part of serving and protecting the site. We run no analytics on the site and set no cookies of our own. Stripe sets its own cookies on the checkout page.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If we delete an order, its key can no longer activate new Macs. What you have downloaded keeps working. We keep order records while the plan is active and for as long afterwards as tax law requires. Ask by replying to your Stripe receipt, or see the support page. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Who is responsible
